Plan Archival
Learn how to archive a plan in Zitcha. This guide explains who can archive plans, when they can be archived, and what happens after archival.
Archiving a plan removes it from active workflows while retaining full visibility for reference and reporting.
This feature helps keep your Planning workspace organized and focused on active campaigns.
Overview
The Plan Archival feature allows networks to close out completed plans while maintaining access for review and reporting.
Archived plans are read-only and hidden from the main Plans list by default, but can be viewed using filters.
Archiving is permanent. Once a plan is archived, it cannot be edited or reactivated.
Who Can Archive Plans?
Only Network users can archive plans.
Advertisers do not have permission to perform this action.
The Archive icon is visible only to users with the required permission.
📌 Permission Note
- The Archive Plan action is included in the Plan Manager permission set.
- If you cannot see the archive icon, check your assigned role or contact your organisation’s administrator.
When a Plan Can Be Archived
A plan can only be archived when all ad sets within it have finished.
✅ Plans can be archived when:
- All ad sets are Ended, Delivered, Cancelled, Expired, or Ineligible
- The plan is in Planning, Proposed, or Agreed status
❌ Plans cannot be archived when:
- Any ad sets are still Active, Scheduled, or Pending Approval
- The plan is already archived
How to Archive a Plan
- Navigate to Planning › Plans
- Locate the plan you wish to archive
- Ensure all ad sets meet the archival conditions above
- Click the Archive icon (🗄) in the plan’s row
- Confirm the action in the pop-up modal
Once confirmed, the plan will move to Archived status.
The archive icon appears only for eligible plans and authorized users.
What Happens After Archiving a Plan
When a plan is archived:
- The plan status changes to Archived
- The plan becomes read-only (no edits or submissions allowed)
- It is hidden from the main Plans list in the Planning tab
- You can still view archived plans by applying the Archived filter
Ad Sets under Archived Plans
- Remain visible on the Ad Sets tab and in the dashboard
- Retain full reporting and analytical visibility
- Are read-only and cannot be modified
