Steps to Provide Zitcha with Google & YouTube Access

1. Google Ad Account

To allow Zitcha to create Google and YouTube ads on your behalf, you must share access to your Google Ad Account (and staging environment if applicable).

Process:

  1. Provide your Google Ad Account ID to the Zitcha team.
  2. Zitcha will send a link request from the Manager Account 805-599-5631.
  3. All admins on your Google Ad Account will receive an email to approve the request.

Approve manually (if needed):

  1. Sign in to your Google Ads manager account.
  2. Click the Tools & settings icon. Under Setup, click Access and security.
  3. Select the Managers tab.
  4. Under Link requests, locate Zitcha’s Manager Account.
  5. Under Actions, click Accept.

Zitcha requires access to your Google Merchant Center to run shopping ads and integrate product feeds.

Step A: Grant User Access

  1. Contact your Zitcha solutions lead for the required user email addresses.

  3. Click the Tools icon, then select Account access under Settings.
  4. Click the + button to add a new user.

  3. Enable the Content API for Shopping.
  4. Navigate to APIs & Services > Credentials.
  5. Create a new Service Account via Create Credentials > Service Account.
  6. Record the Service Account ID.
  7. Generate a JSON private key (ADD KEY → Create new key → JSON).
  8. Share the .json file securely with the Zitcha team.

Step C: Add Service Account to Merchant Center

  1. In Merchant Center, go to Account Access in Settings.
  2. Click + Add user.
  3. Enter the Service Account ID as the email.
  4. Assign the correct role (Standard recommended).
  5. Save and confirm the service account is listed.

Detailed instructions are available in Google’s documentation.

3. YouTube Channel

To allow Zitcha to run YouTube Bumper and Short Form Video Ads, you must grant Zitcha access to your YouTube channel.

Process:

  1. Go to YouTube Studio.
  2. On the left-hand side, click Settings.
  3. Click Permissions.
  4. Click Invite and enter the Zitcha email address (contact your solutions lead for details).
  5. Under Access, select the Editor role.

This allows Zitcha to connect its access token and deliver YouTube campaigns on your behalf.

Additional Guidance

Potential Challenges

  • Credit Lines: A single line of credit in the Facebook Ad Account is required.
  • Product Feeds: Facebook feeds are required for catalog-driven campaigns.
  • Product Structure: Products that are not split by brand may delay onboarding.
  • Audiences: Facebook and Google audiences must be set up prior to activation; missing audiences may delay campaign launch.

Why This Matters

By granting Zitcha access to Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, and YouTube:

  • Your product feeds stay synchronized for Shopping and Performance Max.
  • Campaigns can run across Search, Display, and YouTube directly from Zitcha.
  • Reporting unifies onsite, offsite, and video performance in a single view.
