Manage user accounts in Zitcha by creating, editing, deactivating, and resetting passwords to ensure secure access across organisations.
Overview
A user in Zitcha represents an account that has:
- Accepted a platform invitation.
- Registered their account.
- Joined one or more organisations.
Key details:
- Users log into their last active organisation by default.
- Each user account includes: First name, Last name, Primary email, and Job title.
- Every user must belong to at least one team and hold at least one role per organisation.
- On first registration (if no team/role is assigned), users are automatically placed in the Network Team with the Basic system role.
Creating a User
Permissions required: Role Manager.
- Go to Settings > Organisation > Users.
- Click Create New User.
- Enter the user’s First name, Last name, Job title, and Email address.
- Assign at least one Role from the list (click the pills to select).
- Assign at least one Team from the list (click the pills to select).
- Click Invite User.
- If the email already exists in Zitcha: the user will be invited to link their account to your organisation.
- If the email is new: the user will receive a welcome email to register and log in.
Editing a User
Edits only affect the active organisation. User details persist across other linked organisations.
- Go to Settings > Organisation > Users.
- Click the pen icon next to the user.
- Choose an action:
- Update Name or Job title.
- Edit roles and teams:
- Click x on a pill to remove.
- Select new roles/teams from the list to assign.
- Click Save Changes.
Resetting a User’s Password
Permissions required: Role Manager.
- Go to Settings > Organisation > Users.
- Click the pen icon next to the user.
- Click Send Password Reset.
- The user will receive an email with instructions to reset their password and regain access.
Deactivating a User
Deactivation revokes a user’s access across all linked organisations, but Zitcha keeps a record of their past actions.
- Go to Settings > Organisation > Users.
- Click the pen icon next to the user.
- Click Deactivate User.
