Creating Wallets
Learn how to create and configure wallets in Zitcha, including setting balances, dates, and permissions for managing advertiser budgets.
Wallets are managed by the Network. Only users with the Wallet Manager permission can create, update, or delete wallets.
Prerequisites
- You are logged in as a Network user
- You have the Wallet Manager permission
If you do not see the Wallets option or the + New button, ask your admin to grant Wallet Manager.
Steps to Create a Wallet
- Go to Settings › Supplier and select the Advertiser
- Click Wallets
- Click + New
- Enter the required fields:
- Name
- Initial Balance
- Start Date
- End Date
- (Optional) Configure:
- Minimum Balance
- Allow Wallet Overdraw
- Click Create
Note: Once a wallet is created, the linked organisation can view its details.
Field Tips
- Name: Use a clear label that will make sense when choosing it during plan setup, for example,
FY25 JBP CoreorQ4 Promo O&A. - Initial Balance: Typically aligns to a JBP commitment or pre-approved media budget.
- Start/End Dates: Set dates to match budget windows. The wallet cannot be used outside these dates.
- Minimum Balance: Set to
0if you want the budget fully exhausted. - Allow Overdraw: Enable only if your finance policy allows spending beyond the current balance.
After You Create the Wallet
- The wallet appears under the advertiser’s Wallets tab
- Network and advertiser users (with access) can view the wallet
- You can create Credit Notes and Debit Notes as budgets change
- Wallets can be selected during Plan and Ad Set creation
Troubleshooting
- I cannot create a wallet: Check you have Wallet Manager permission
- Wallet not visible to advertiser: Confirm the wallet is linked to the correct Advertiser
- Dates not accepted: Ensure Start Date is on or before End Date
