Broadsign

Set up your Broadsign account in Zitcha to enable regional targeting, screen control, and in-store campaign delivery across digital screens.

Getting Started Guide: In-Store (Broadsign)

Learn how to connect your Broadsign in-store screen network to Zitcha and activate in-store campaigns across digital screens using your retail media inventory.

Zitcha’s integration with Broadsign allows you to manage, sell, and report on in-store digital screen campaigns directly from Zitcha, alongside your onsite and offsite activity. Screen inventory syncs automatically, campaigns are delivered via Broadsign, and proof-of-play data can be surfaced back to advertisers.

Before You Start

To ensure a smooth integration, we recommend:

  • Screens are live and managed in Broadsign Control
  • Screen naming follows a consistent format
  • Screens are tagged or grouped by region or location
  • Loop duration and creative specifications are confirmed internally

Your Zitcha Solutions representative will guide you through validation before campaigns go live.

Screen Naming and Structure

Zitcha automatically syncs screen names from Broadsign. These names are used to identify inventory for buyers and internal teams.

Recommended naming format: [Country] - [State/Region] - [City] - [Venue Type] - [Specific Location]

** Example:** AU - NSW - Sydney - Shopping Centre - Entrance

Notes:

  • Screen names can be renamed in Zitcha without impacting Broadsign
  • If you prefer alternate naming in Zitcha, share your preferred format during onboarding
  • Changes made in Zitcha do not sync back to Broadsign

Criteria and Regional Targeting

To enable geographic targeting in Zitcha, screens must be grouped in Broadsign using criteria.

Steps in Broadsign Control:

  1. Create criteria for each region (for example, Victoria or New South Wales)
  2. Clearly label each criterion
  3. Assign the appropriate criterion to each display unit

These criteria are used by Zitcha to automatically group screens and enable regional buying and reporting.

Providing Zitcha with Broadsign Access

1. Broadsign Control (API Access)

Zitcha requires API credentials from Broadsign Control to sync screens and manage delivery.

Please provide the following to your Zitcha Solutions representative:

  • Base URL (REST API endpoint)
  • Security token
  • Domain ID

These credentials are generated in Broadsign Control.

2. Broadsign Direct (Campaign Execution)

Zitcha delivers in-store campaigns via Broadsign Direct.

Process:

  • Zitcha will provide an email address to be set up in Broadsign Direct
    (for example: [email protected])
  • You can either:
    • Provide a password securely, or
    • Allow Broadsign to send a setup email so Zitcha can create the password

This account is used solely for campaign delivery.

3. Proof of Play (Optional but Recommended)

Zitcha can surface Proof of Play data to advertisers.

To enable this:

  • Contact Broadsign to request access to your Proof of Play (POP) logs
  • Share the POP log credentials with your Zitcha Solutions or Customer Success Manager

Once connected, Proof of Play metrics can be included in reporting.

Creative Requirements and Asset Validation

Zitcha enforces creative validation rules to ensure assets meet your Broadsign setup.

Available validations include:

  • Minimum and maximum width and height
  • Aspect ratio
  • File type
  • File size (up to 200MB)
  • Minimum and maximum video duration
  • Minimum and maximum number of assets

These rules should align with your loop duration and Broadsign configuration.

Asset Bundling and Rotation

Zitcha supports creative bundling and rotation across different screen formats.

How it works:

  • Separate uploaders are created for each screen size (for example, portrait and landscape)
  • Multiple assets of the same size rotate sequentially through the ad loop
  • When multiple sizes are uploaded, assets are bundled together

Example:

  • Portrait Asset 1 + Landscape Asset 1 = Bundle 1
  • Portrait Asset 2 + Landscape Asset 2 = Bundle 2

Broadsign automatically selects the correct asset based on the screen size.

Inventory Sync and Pricing

  • Screens are automatically imported from Broadsign into Zitcha overnight
  • Each screen is treated as a location
  • Screens can be renamed or re-categorised in Zitcha without impacting Broadsign
  • Inventory pricing is set in Zitcha as fixed pricing:
    • Per screen, per day
    • Or per screen, per fixed period

Default pricing can be applied at location type level or overridden per screen.

QA and Delivery Checks

Once a campaign is live, delivery status can be checked in Zitcha using the Ad Set ID.

Your Zitcha team can support QA checks and troubleshooting during initial launches.

Why This Matters

Connecting Broadsign to Zitcha allows you to:

  • Sell and manage in-store screen inventory alongside onsite and offsite media
  • Enable geographic and screen-level targeting
  • Enforce creative standards automatically
  • Provide Proof of Play transparency to advertisers
  • Report on in-store performance within a single retail media platform

This creates a consistent buying, delivery, and reporting experience across your entire retail media network.
