Advertiser-Facing Inventory View (Beta)

Give advertisers real-time visibility into available placements, empowering them to book and manage campaigns directly from the inventory timeline.

The Advertiser-Facing Inventory View in Zitcha gives advertisers a centralized, calendar-based overview of their available media placements within a retailer’s network.

It mirrors the familiar Network Manager Inventory View, allowing advertisers to see their own campaigns, view open inventory, and propose new ad sets all within a clear, intuitive timeline.

Key Benefits

For Advertisers

  • Gain visibility into available retail media placements
  • Create and manage ad sets directly from existing plans
  • See how much inventory is available for upcoming campaigns
  • View clear availability labels for booked and open slots
  • Switch between multiple retailer networks with consistent branding and experience
  • Compete fairly through anonymized visibility while keeping sensitive data private

For Retailers

  • Empower advertisers with controlled visibility and fewer manual requests
  • Reduce operational back-and-forth during booking and approvals
  • Automatically manage clashes and avoid overselling
  • Maintain full control of approvals while providing a better advertiser experience

Step-by-Step: Using the Advertiser Inventory View

1. Access the Inventory View

Once enabled by your retailer, you’ll see a new Inventory button in your left-hand side menu.
Clicking this opens your advertiser inventory timeline, showing all your current and pending ad sets.

Note: Retailers can enable this feature from Settings → Advertisers.
The network must have Inventory turned on in their Zitcha instance for this option to appear.

2. Navigating the View

Advertisers can use the same flexible view options as networks:

  • Toggle between week, fortnight, month, or quarter
  • Use the custom calendar view to define specific dates
  • Status colours indicate each ad set’s current state (pending, scheduled, live, completed)
  • Filters allow you to narrow by media type or placement

If you advertise across multiple retailer networks, you can easily switch between them using the dropdown menu at the top. Each network displays its own branding and available plans, helping you stay oriented.

3. Understanding What You See

When viewing the timeline:

  • You’ll only see your own ad sets, never those of other advertisers.
  • You can view pending, scheduled, and approved ad sets.
  • If one of your ad sets clashes with another advertiser’s, it will simply appear as Pending Approval on your side.

Once the retailer resolves the clash:

  • If approved, your ad set moves to Scheduled or Reserved.
  • If not approved, it returns to Draft and disappears from your timeline.

This keeps your view clean and always up to date.

4. Booking and Managing Ads

From the inventory timeline, you can:

  • Click on available slots to create new ad sets from your existing plans.
  • Once created, the ad set automatically appears in your timeline as Pending Approval.
  • You can move pending ad sets to new slots if needed, with a confirmation pop-up to prevent accidental changes.
  • Scheduled ad sets can’t be moved, ensuring live campaigns remain stable.

Unavailable slots are clearly marked. Hovering over a booked placement displays a tooltip such as “Oops, this placement’s booked by another advertiser.”

If the retailer offers unlimited inventory for a placement, you’ll see it indicated (e.g., “Unlimited available”). Otherwise, you’ll see the remaining number of available slots (e.g., “1 available”).
Advertisers can only see how many slots remain open — not how many have already been booked.

5. Switching Between Networks and Plans

If your advertiser account is linked to multiple retailers, you can toggle between networks using the top-right dropdown. Each network shows its own logo, colour scheme, and setup.

When you create an ad set within a specific retailer’s view, only the plans configured by that retailer will appear in the dropdown menu ensuring you can only book against the inventory and rate cards relevant to that network.

Notes, Edge Cases & Tips

💡 Visibility & Privacy:
Advertisers can’t see other advertisers’ campaigns, even when clashes occur. The system handles all approvals and updates automatically once the network makes a decision.

📌 Slot Labels:
Each slot clearly indicates whether it’s available or booked, helping advertisers quickly spot opportunities.

💡 Multiple Networks:
Advertisers working with several Zitcha retailers can toggle between networks directly within the inventory view.

The Advertiser-Facing Inventory View gives advertisers the same real-time visibility and flexibility as networks without sacrificing control or confidentiality.

It simplifies booking, improves collaboration, and brings transparency to retail media management by allowing advertisers to see what’s available, plan ahead, and propose ad sets directly for approval.
