Plans

Plans provide a structured framework for aligning advertising initiatives with strategic business objectives, enabling advertisers to plan, execute, and measure the success of their efforts comprehensively. Plans can be used for ad hoc campaigns or an entire annual JBP commitment with a plan now, execute later model. Plans can contain zero, one or multiple ad sets.

Plans occupy a state that represents their status in the media planning lifecycle. The following table summarises the states a plan can occupy:

StateDescription
DraftPlan is created but not yet proposed to the linked organisation. Plans in draft are only visible to the organisation that created the plan.
ProposedPlan has been published and exists as a shared resource between the creating organisation and the linked organisation (i.e. an advertiser proposes a plan to a network).
AgreedThe network has agreed to the terms of the plan. Ad sets and ads can continue to be created and updated within the plan.
ArchivedThe plan is archived, it is no longer visible and ad sets and ads within the plan are no longer active.

Creating a plan

  5. Review your selections and

Proposing a plan

Proposing a plan shares the plan as a resource between your organisation and the linked organisation on the plan. For example, if advertiser Brand A proposes a plan they have created with network Retailer B, the plan is now a shared resource across both Brand A and Retailer B’s organisations.

You can propose a plan on creation: Create a new plan and propose it without including any ad sets.

Agreeing a plan

An agreed plan is a representation that the terms of the plan have been accepted by the network. Agreeing a plan has no impact on the state of the ad sets within the plan. Individual ad sets can still be created and updated within an agreed plan.

Before you begin: You must belong to a network organisation and have approval permissions.

To agree a plan:

  1. Navigate to Plans & Ad Sets > Plans, click the view icon next to the plan you want to approve.
  2. Review the terms of the plan, including name, wallet and remaining balance.
  3. Click Agree Plan.

Ad sets

Ad sets are a grouping of ads based on specific shared settings such as schedule, placement and media type. This enables optimisation and budget flow between a collection of linked ads.

It's important to consider your placement options and how your choices affect the ads within the ad set. For example, some media types may only support certain ad formats.

Ad sets occupy a state that represents their status in the media planning lifecycle. The following table summarises the states an ad set can occupy:

StateDescription
DraftAd set is created but not yet submitted to the linked organisation. Ad sets in draft are only visible to the organisation that created the ad set.
Clashed (Network Only)The number of ad sets with the same schedule, media type and placement is greater than the inventory for that particular schedule, media type and placement combination.
Pending ApprovalThe ad set has been submitted and there are changes that require the networks approval before it can be reserved, scheduled or live.
ReservedThe ad set has been approved and the schedule, media type and placement is locked in. The ad set is missing information to meet minimum delivery requirements.
ScheduledThe ad set has been approved, contains information to meet the minimum delivery requirements and is scheduled for a future date.
LiveThe ad set has been approved, contains information to meet the minimum delivery requirements, the scheduled start date has elapsed and the ad set contains delivered ads.
PausedThe ad set has been manually paused.
FailedThe ad set is eligible to go live/ has been live but has an unexpected issue stopping continued ad delivery.
ExpiredThe ad sets scheduled end date has elapsed but the ad set did not finish delivery.
CancelledThe ad set was manually cancelled.

You can create an ad set in a new plan (see Creating a Plan) or existing plan (see Editing an existing Plan). Ads

An ad provides the ability to run multiple variations of ad creatives within the same ad set.

Choices that you make at the plan and ad set levels affect the options that you see when you create your ad. Zitcha uses those choices to make your ad more effective. The wallet you choose at the plan level affects which budget your ad sets will draw down from. The media type you choose at the ad set level affects your ad format options.
