Zitcha Product Update - December 2025
December was a busy one at Zitcha. While it’s traditionally the month of wrap-ups and countdowns, we shipped a broad set of improvements focused on making planning more intuitive, reducing rework, and giving networks better control and visibility across plans, ad sets, and inventory.
Alongside planning improvements, we also continued to strengthen pricing flexibility, notifications, and platform reliability.
Below is a summary of what shipped in December.
🔍 Plan Visibility Controls
Networks can now control whether advertisers can see a Plan and its Ad Sets.
What’s new
When creating or editing a Plan, you’ll see a new setting:
“Can the advertiser view this plan?”
- Yes (default) – Visible to both Network and Advertiser users
- No, only network users – Network-only visibility
When a Plan is set to Network-only
- Advertisers cannot see the Plan or any linked Ad Sets across the UI (Plans, Ad Sets, Actions, Inventory, filters)
- Hidden Plans do not appear in advertiser team scope selection
- Advertisers receive no notifications related to the hidden Plan or its Ad Sets
- Reporting and wallet transactions remain unchanged
For network users
- All Plans remain visible
- Users with plan edit permissions can update visibility at any time
- Visibility changes can be reversed at any point
- All changes are captured in audit logs

📍 Faster Location Selection with Location Groups
Finding and selecting locations is now quicker and more intuitive.
What’s changed
- Location Groups are now available across all placement filters and the placement field in the buying flow
- Browse and select locations via groups, with counts by location type
- Select multiple locations directly from a group
- Location type filtering has been removed
- Location search continues to work as before
This makes large, multi-location plans much easier to build and adjust.

✏️ Smarter Editing with Quick Edit Improvements
Increase bids without re-approval
Quick Edit now supports increasing bid amounts for eligible ad sets.
- Bids can only be increased (decreases are not allowed)
- Validation ensures the new bid is higher than the current bid
- Notifications are sent when minimum bids are increased

🚦 Availability: Feature-flagged (onsite media types only)
🧠 Smarter Placement Behaviour
Smart placement reset
Placements are no longer automatically reset every time a schedule changes.
Now:
- Placements are retained if inventory is still available
- Placements reset only when no inventory exists for the new dates
- Budgets are recalculated automatically when dates change
- Placements reset only if selected locations are unavailable
This significantly reduces rework when adjusting live or complex plans.

📊 Timeline & Inventory Workflow Improvements
Allocation and availability across all timeline views
Allocation and availability are now visible across all timeline period views, including quarter view.
- Hover to see dates and available placements
- Visual cues highlight availability and opportunity states
- Consistent behaviour across timeline modes
Ad Set actions directly in the Inventory Timeline
Users can now manage Ad Set actions directly from the Inventory Timeline, reducing the need to navigate elsewhere in the platform.
Advertiser filtering on Inventory Timeline (Network users)
Network users can now filter the Inventory Timeline by Advertiser, making it easier to manage activity across multiple advertisers.

You can now switch between List view and Grid (card) view when viewing ad sets on a Plan.
